A non-sleeping beauty

I've always thought that newborns are best shot when they're asleep, but this little sweetheart changed my mind.  At just a week old she was really alert and wide eyed which made for some really adorable photos! I guess the best part was that she was only mildly squirmy while awake :).  Most of the time the alert ones are very wiggly and often bursting out in tears   I had a great time doing this shoot and here are some of my faves!
