A Non-Cakesmash Birthday Session

This little guy just turned one year old and had an high-flying birthday photo shoot! I was really looking forward to him getting all messy with the typical cake that goes along with these sessions, but he was not a fan of cakes. His mom put an excellent effort trying to warm him up to the cakes at home, but she had little success so we scrapped that idea and just did a cake-less shoot! Luckily for me he didn't really cry but he was uber serious! He did crack a few smiles here and there though He had the cutest expressions on his face.
