Baby Girl Balloon Cake Smash Photography – North York, Toronto

This past weekend this little cutie came and visited me for her cake smash photo session. I must admit it was hard to crack a smile out of her, but she had the most adorable expressions and she barely cried. When a baby doesn't cry I consider it a win! Her theme was a balloon one with grey, turquoise and white colours. I find matching colours is one of the most challenging things to do when creating a set whether it be on the cake or the decor. If you look and ask for turquoise balloons they are usually the darker turquoise ones. The ones I used were called mint green and they had a pearl sheen on them. I've done so many cake smashes and many clients request balloons so I'm wondering if it's worth it to invest in a helium tank??

Since the Blue Jays are doing so awesome this season, I thought this would be a great time to post these newborn photos. That game last night was such an amazing comeback! And another win today!

I love the way these photos turned out. I'm so fortunate that this little guy's parents brought in this adorable Blue Jay's outfit for him.

This was a really fun yet challenging cake smash set to design. I had a few learning curves to overcome but in the end I did it! I couldn't quite figure out how to make the paper vines but after doing a lot of googling and trial & error I finally figured it out. I took some photos of the process so I will post it later

This was this little birthday boy's second visit to my studio. He came in for his first photo shoot at 2 months. If you ever remember seeing a baby Air Jordan photo somewhere this is him! How time really flies -- Im so honoured to have the privilege of doing his 1st year photos too!

He had the sweetest smile & expressions which made this photo shoot truly worth while. If anyone is interested in a Safari Jungle themed cake smash, then let me know! I saved all the props

This little cutie had a winter wonderland themed cake smash with pretty gold, pink and white snowflakes on the backdrop. For this cake smash I decided to break out my dust collecting Cricut Explore Air machine to cut out some snowflake shapes. I've never really used my machine much before but I finally got the hang of it and it was such a time saver!

The session went really well! She even decided to go face first and take a bite right from her cake. It was the cutest thing ever! Her mom was really creative and crafted her own little birthday banner. Love these pics!

I recently did a fun Little Man cake smash shoot decorated with moustache and flag banners. This little guy was so cute! Love his precious smile! He made a big ol mess but that's what made this session all the more fun. We also designed a cool chalkboard to match his little man theme. Hope to see you again little man!

This little newborn boy was just perfect! He slept for the right amount of time to allow me to put him in the cutest poses. I love how snuggly and cute he looks His older sister was really adorable too! With the new Star Wars movie set to come out this December we took the perfect little Yoda photo for him. I made that crochet a couple of years ago and it's been quite popular lately with the newborns

A Modern, Clean, Yet Fuzzy Newborn Photo Shoot – North York, Toronto Photography

Here are two very sweet little sisters! Back in my early days of photography I was lucky to have been able to photograph big sis as a 6 month old baby. She was the cutest thing ever! Now she came back with her adorable baby newborn sister with their matching sock monkey crochet hats. Their loving auntie (aka my crochet/crafting buddy) beautifully created these hats for them. Mom wanted a clean photo shoot with black & white elements so I figured I would put my sewing skills to the test and make a ruffle diaper cover and matching bow headband. For a first try I think I did ok! This was actually an upcycled piece I got from a local thrift store that I converted. For $7 dollars I was able to put this together and have plenty for some more props. Upcycling is my new favourite activity! I've seen this itty bitty diaper covers go for around $30 so I think I did well for myself The cute sparkly crown was graciously loaned to me by Cutie Pieces. I love <3<3 newborn photography!
