Wrapping up a newborn baby photography session

This little 2 week old newborn came to my studio last month and gave me a fun lil challenge to keep her calm! I had to wrap her up all snuggly and cozy -- she wouldn't have it any other way! I am incredibly lucky to have gotten this shot. Only 2 seconds later she started wailing after I tried to readjust her hand.

I am always up for a challenge so it was fun and I'm glad we were able to get some great shots!

Happy 1st Birthday to a Future Physician

This little guy and his sis and cousins came by for a quick photo shoot for his first birthday. It was less chaotic than I had anticipated which was great! He was always on the move and so was my camera following him around while he scooted on the floor. Happy Birthday lil Doc!!

A non-sleeping beauty

I've always thought that newborns are best shot when they're asleep, but this little sweetheart changed my mind. At just a week old she was really alert and wide eyed which made for some really adorable photos! I guess the best part was that she was only mildly squirmy while awake :). Most of the time the alert ones are very wiggly and often bursting out in tears I had a great time doing this shoot and here are some of my faves!

A 7 month old beauty

This little baby is such a pretty lil thing. I loved photographing her as she tried to scoot her way across the floor. At only 7 months she was already able to crawl and sit (with occasional toppling :)) by herself. She had perfectly smooth skin - (a photographer's dream!!) making my job so easy! What a lil cutie!
